Sarah and Scott’s spring wedding at Pioneer Country in Tweed Heads was straight out of a storybook!
The day started with the excitement of final touches—hair and makeup for Sarah and her bridesmaids. Spirits were high, and the girls couldn’t stop laughing and chatting about the day ahead. After capturing those happy moments, it was time to check in on Scott and his groomsmen. They were dressed and ready, though there was the usual groomsmen struggle with the boutonnieres. After a bit of debate and a few laughs, they finally figured it out, and we snagged some great pre-ceremony shots.
Then it was back to the girls, where Sarah was slipping into her dress, with her bridesmaids fussing over every detail, making sure everything was just right. The anticipation in the room was electric as they prepped for Sarah’s grand entrance.
And what an entrance it was! The 4 p.m. ceremony in the Pioneer Country chapel had that fairytale touch Sarah had always dreamed of—her father had promised her a horse-drawn carriage when she was little, and there she was, making her way up to the chapel like a true princess. Scott was grinning from ear to ear, completely captivated by his bride’s arrival. The ceremony was filled with smiles, a few giggles as their love story was shared, and some deeply touching vows. They sealed it all with a kiss and exited the chapel in a joyful flurry of confetti, showered by their cheering guests.
After hugs and congratulations all around, we gathered everyone for some family group & bridal party photos before stealing the newlyweds away. For the couples photos we tried something a bit different this time, heading down the road to the Sullivan family park, which used to be part of the Pioneer Country property. The enormous fig tree there made an absolutely stunning backdrop, and the photos turned out to be some of my all-time favorites from weddings at this venue. We wrapped up the couple’s shoot with some gorgeous sunset shots on top of the ridge, with Sarah and Scott practicing their first dance with an audience of cows grazing nearby. It was a perfect, serene moment for the two of them before the reception festivities began.
When we arrived back at the barn, the guests were ready to celebrate, and Sarah and Scott were met with loud cheers as they entered. Dinner was served, followed by some heartfelt (and hilarious) speeches, the cake cutting, and a dramatic champagne tower. Their first dance was nothing short of magical, and it quickly turned into an all-out dance party with everyone joining in.
As the night wound down, Sarah and Scott had one last fairytale moment—a sparkler exit, with friends and family lighting the path as they walked through. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful day, filled with laughter, love, and a touch of magic. Truly a wedding to remember!
