Midginbil Eco Resort Spring Wedding

Emily & Bryan's big day wasn't all about Insta perfect shots, it was a weekend long wedding festival full of laughs & emotion.

I love heading to Midginbil Eco Resort as a wedding photographer. The venue has a stunning variety of backdrops to use in photos & video that suit our style of – Natural, fun & relaxed.

It’s an all-in-one wedding location that boasts multiple ceremony options and a rustic reception barn with a covered veranda. There’s also glamping tents and cabins on site, this means most guests are there for the weekend and really let their hair down. As usual, I arrived a little early so I can chat with Renee from Help Me Hitch and sync up our ideas to make the day as smooth as possible. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Barn layout was a little different to normal, love how she makes every couples day unique.

Their wedding ceremony was set up on the hill next to the big fig tree which allowed for a lovely backdrop to the entire scene. After the ceremony I gathered everyone together to take an group photo with the huge tree in the background. Then it was time for some bridal party shots before we concentrated on the happy couple. Walking about the grassy hill with the stunning mountains behind lends itself to the kind of natural wedding photos & videos we’re known for.

The barn was a quick drive away so by the time we arrived for the reception the guests were enjoying themselves chatting and having a few drinks outside. Once everyone was seated in the barn the bridal party were announced followed by the newlyweds. Everyone settled in for dinner and the formalities rolled on. Speeches were a highlight with Emily’s daughters stealing the show, all the guests loved them. Next up was Groom + mother dance followed by Emily & Bryan’s first dance. This was the perfect segue to party time and everyone jumped in and let loose.

Such a fun and down to earth couple who I’m sure will have a long & beautiful life together.
